Wave Transmitter (TDH): Real-time measurement of hydraulic dynamics
The Transmetteur de houle (TDH) is a high-performance sensor designed for measure rapid water level variations in real time, to study and modeling wave physics. Thanks to its linear conductance technology, It provides a precise, stable analog signal, ideal for studies in research laboratories equipped with a hydraulic flume or tank.
Measuring principle :
Conductance between electrodes varies linearly with the immersion height in water (or other resistive liquid). The device incorporates a compensation electrode, always underwater, which neutralizes conductivity variations related temperature, salinity or pollution water, thus guaranteeing reliable, repeatable measurements.
The two rods of the wave transmitter are of predefined lengths (500 mm, 800 mm, 1,200 mm) or made to measure according to your needs, and other parameters are adaptable depending on the characteristics of the research facility (depth of the basin or hydraulic channel, predicted wave heights, TDH mounting systems, watertight cabling, compatibility with your acquisition systems).
