Thermocouple clamp - DC
This type of thermocouple allows surface temperature measurements, and withstands high temperatures up to 700°C. The sheathed part of the thermocouple provides insulation and excellent temperature resistance. The insulated hot spot in the inconel sheath is protected from disturbance and interference. The foil helps to hold and fix the thermocouple, while ensuring a good contact zone.
It is used when the surface temperatures to be measured present difficult access for instrumentation. Its plate can be electrically pointed at the surface to be measured, or it can be fixed by means of a clamp, allowing for the heat dissipation induced by the latter. The shape and dimensions of the insert are adaptable.
